"Felt like a criminal. Not a 5-star experience. Terrible customer support."
I reserved a caravan that was supposed to be pet-friendly for my family, including my mum who has a heart condition. We hadn’t taken a holiday in 4 years, and my job in the NHS is super stressful. Brynteg had wrong info on Booking.com, which led to me being put in a caravan that didn’t allow pets by accident. After checking in, I got a call from reception practically accusing me of sneaking my dog onto the property. I was forced to pay £100 for an allergy clean, and they shouted it out in front of other guests. Then, when I asked for the dirty bedding to be changed, I was accused of having my dog on it.

I reached out to booking.com, and they confirmed I wasn’t to blame; their customer service was fantastic. Our stay was ruined, causing me a lot of stress and anxiety. The pool and sauna were the only decent ways to pass the time there. The location is nice for Caernarfon and Llanberis, but we wanted to be offsite as much as we could after being humiliated on our first day.

This place is definitely not a 5-star park, and their customer service is worse than 1 star. The beds are tiny, the mattresses are uncomfortable, the table was held together with tape, there were gravy stains on the curtains, dirty bedding, a sock left under the bed from the last guests, and stains on the carpet. Plus, there was zero Wi-Fi.

I got a food voucher as an apology on our last night, but there was no offer to refund the deep clean I had to pay for. Booking.com ended up refunding that, but I’m still waiting for Brynteg to make up for the awful treatment I received.

My mum’s health got worse because of the stress, and I’ve spent so much time trying to get this sorted. Over 20 emails and 4 phone calls later, I’m told every time that someone will get back to me. I’ve had to follow up at every step. They clearly don’t value their customers and have turned the whole “holiday experience” into a total nightmare. My mental health has taken a hit from this terrible treatment, but do they care? Not at all. Stay away from this place.

"Our Last Visit to Malvern!"
We just got back from Malvern. Last year, we had a great time, but this time was a whole different ball game since we brought our puppy along. There were a few supposed 'dog-friendly' trails, but honestly, they weren't really suitable for dogs. One path went through a field with sheep, and the fence was broken at the bottom, leading right to a muddy stream. Plus, the wooded areas were not safe for dogs either. I even got yelled at by a fisherman when my pup jumped into the lake because a gate was left open. And don’t get me started on the dog shower they added this year—it was ice cold and barely worked.

Inside the cottage, we had to scrub the plates, pans, and trays before using them since they were dirty. The kettle was gross and had a weird taste, so we ended up buying a new one. The oven's extractor fan was filthy, and there was no vacuum cleaner, which would’ve been super useful with a dog around. We also noticed cobwebs in various spots throughout the cottage.

When the bar was actually open, we decided to check it out, but we felt really unwelcome because my dog was on my lap. So, we just left our drinks and walked out.

I was really looking forward to this trip, but in the end, I wish we hadn’t come back.

"Holiday Getaway at Pentire..."
We enjoyed a bank holiday getaway at Pentire close to Bude and had an amazing time. Our dog joined us, and the park was nicely arranged for our furry pals. There wasn't a lot of entertainment, which was just what we wanted. The caravan was top-notch and spotless, providing a perfect spot to explore the area. I'm certain we'll return.

"Lovely Time at Par Sands Park"
Par Sands Park was a real treat! The beach was super accessible for everyone, young and old alike. The kids had a blast in the play zones. We all had a great time strolling around, enjoying the pool and grabbing a bite at the cafe. The accommodations were nice and tidy, though it was a bummer that one didn’t have balconies. The other place did, which made for a fantastic hangout spot. Definitely would come back!

"Fantastic Stay at Par Sands"
We truly enjoyed our time at Par Sands. The spot is perfect for a peaceful getaway and is welcoming to dogs. We squeezed in a few swim sessions, but we heeded the staff's advice to arrive early. The beach at the far end is genuinely stunning. The section by the park does have a view of an industrial building, but it didn’t really bother us much. Our caravan was lovely, spotless, and had all the essentials. I’d recommend bringing some washing up liquid since the one provided is quite tiny. Our caravan came with a dishwasher, but it was out of salt and rinse aid, so just keep that in mind. We didn’t have WiFi in our caravan, but the hotspots at the cafe and pool worked just fine. The staff at the cafe and pool were super friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a fantastic holiday, and we’d definitely come back to this site.

"Fantastic Place to Stay!"
We spent our time at Pentire Hol. Park from August 13 to 20, 2022. The site is beautifully situated just off the A39 in North Cornwall, making it super easy to get to a bunch of beaches. Check-in was a breeze and the staff were really friendly. The caravan was spotless, roomy, and dog-friendly, plus it had a parking space right next to it, fully stocked with everything I could possibly need. My boys loved the great play area, and we also had access to more amenities, including a pub, at the nearby Hol. Park. We had a wonderful week there. Definitely recommend it!

"Lodge at Brynteg: Not What We Hoped For"
Our stay at Brynteg was in a lodge featuring a hot tub. Unfortunately, we were quite let down; the hot tub was situated along the path where we parked the car. Given the amount we spent, we thought it would be right on the decking with the lodge. The chlorine levels in the hot tub were so high that we didn’t even want to use it. The moment you stepped in, the chlorine stung your eyes and made it hard to breathe. It was a terrible experience.

"Brief Getaway"
We showed up on Friday, August 12, and were welcomed by a friendly face at the check-in desk. She handed us our welcome pack and made us feel right at home. When we got to the caravan, we opened the door to find it quite pleasant and spacious inside. The bed was super comfy! Our only complaint about the caravan was that the patio table and chairs had definitely seen better days and could use a replacement. The site itself was spotless, really well organized, and peaceful, with a lovely beach just across the road that’s dog-friendly. We didn’t use the pool since we heard it was limited to a small number of folks at a time. Overall, we had a great time and are thinking about booking another trip!

"Arrived on August 15th - The place is great!"
We got there on the 15th of August, and let me tell ya, the site is gorgeous and super well-maintained. The staff were really nice and helpful, and my kids had a blast in the play area. Our caravan was fantastic; I can't complain about a thing. They even gave us a courtesy call to make sure we were satisfied with everything. It was super dog-friendly, but I did notice it could use a little shop. We checked out the club at the nearby site, which was just a short walk away, and we were really happy with it—lots of family fun and arcades for the kids!

"Fantastic Family Getaway at Pentire!"
We just had the best holiday at the Pentire site! (August 8th to 15th, 2022) Seriously, it couldn't have been better! The place was immaculate! The views from our balcony were stunning, and the site itself was just lovely. There was a great play area for our two little girls. Plus, it was just a quick drive to Bude, which was perfect, and close to some gorgeous beaches.
The staff were super friendly and really helpful. We’re definitely planning to book another stay here! Huge thanks for making our first holiday as a family of four (thanks to covid) so memorable. We created some wonderful memories. We also lucked out with the weather, which was a nice bonus! I've already told a bunch of friends about it! Thanks again, and we can't wait to come back soon!

"Our Stay in a Cottage with a Hot Tub"
We enjoyed a cottage that had a hot tub during one of the hottest weeks. The pub and restaurant were conveniently located just across the street, and the food was absolutely top-notch 👌—fish, burgers, prawns, you name it! The staff were amazing, though there were only a few maintenance folks around. Honestly, they don’t even need security; everything was running smoothly. The hot tub was checked daily, and I think the next upgrade should be a swimming pool. We also loved seeing the deer and took a two-hour tour at the Morgan car factory. Malvern Country Park? Definitely a five-star experience!

"Unexpected Delight at the Park"
Showed up at the Park without a clue about what to find! It was clear from the well-grown plants and trees that this place had been around for a while and was set in a stunning spot. The staff were super friendly and attentive. After they helped me with my bags to the van, I was really taken aback by how it looked and felt. Everything was kept in tip-top shape, and the beds were comfy. Mine was just right for my son and his family.

The facilities were top-notch, with loads to do right there. There were nice places to eat and shop, plus cafes and restaurants close by. Caernarfon was quite impressive, and Llanberis had all sorts of attractions. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot in a breathtaking location that’s perfect for the whole family. I’ll definitely be coming back.

"Not Worth the 5 Stars"
We really can't rate Par Sands as a five-star place, maybe three at best. Here's a rundown of why we feel this way:
- The kitchen had a missing blind, so we could see into the neighbor's van and they could see ours.
- There was makeup on the carpet, and we tried to clean it up while we were there.
- The kitchen drawers were a pain to open and close.
- The kettle's on/off button was broken.
- The lounge curtain kept falling off the rail every time we pulled it.
- The toilet seat was loose, but we managed to fix it during our stay.
- The bathroom bin was super rusty.
- The net curtains looked really worn out.
- The toilets in the cafe were gross.
- There was no balcony or any outdoor seating available.
- The pitch & putt was tiny, just the size of a dining room, and they only had two golf balls.
- You even have to pay for tennis rackets, which isn't a deposit.
- The park is really small and seems more suited for kids under 5.
We were really let down for a place that claims to be five stars. The only area that felt five-star was the reception, which was nice and modern, and the staff were great (the cafe staff too), but let's be real, guests don’t hang out there for long!

"Our holiday was absolutely delightful"
Our holiday was absolutely delightful. The static caravan at the Bryn Teg site in North Wales was spotless. The only downsides were that the WiFi wasn’t the best, as it was being upgraded during our stay, and it would be awesome to have a grocery store on the campsite as well.
